Grow Digital Health Midlands, a newly launched accelerator programme supporting healthcare innovation, has announced the nine companies selected for its inaugural 2025 cohort. The programme, which succeeds the East Midlands Digital Health Accelerator, is jointly delivered by Health Innovation East Midlands and Health Innovation West Midlands.

Launched in February 2025, the accelerator is designed to support the development and adoption of digital solutions that address critical local and national healthcare challenges, including NHS productivity, communication, and the reduction of hospital care demand.

Nine Innovators Selected for 2025

After a competitive selection process shaped by NHS and care leaders across the Midlands, nine promising healthtech companies have been chosen for the programme. Each demonstrated clear relevance to NHS priorities and a high level of readiness for adoption.

Tim Robinson, Commercial Director at Health Innovation East Midlands, said:

“We’re proud to welcome these nine exciting innovators to Grow Digital Health Midlands. Their solutions align with key national healthcare shifts and reflect real system needs. We’re excited to support their growth and help bring meaningful change to health and care services.”

Participants will benefit from tailored business coaching, product development support, and opportunities to present their innovations to NHS stakeholders and healthcare decision-makers.

Addressing Regional Needs and National Priorities

The Midlands is the largest NHS region, covering 11 Integrated Care Systems and serving nearly 12 million people. The Grow Digital Health Midlands programme was developed in alignment with national healthcare goals, including priorities outlined in Lord Darzi’s 2024 NHS review.

Local NHS leaders actively contributed to the selection process to ensure the chosen companies were best positioned to address system-wide priorities and support digital transformation at scale.

By fostering innovation and supporting implementation across the region, the accelerator aims to bring scalable, high-impact digital health solutions into real-world healthcare settings.
