The CyberQ Group global tour signals a major international push for the Birmingham-based cybersecurity specialist. The award-winning firm has launched a month-long expansion drive across India, South East Asia and South Africa.

Backed by venture capital investment, CyberQ Group aims to strengthen partnerships along fast-growing digital trade routes. As cyber threats intensify worldwide, demand for regulatory compliance and resilience continues to rise. Consequently, the company is positioning its West Midlands expertise on a global stage.

The announcement follows CyberQ Group’s shortlisting for the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Digital Revolutionary 2026 award. Therefore, the tour reflects both local recognition and international ambition.

CyberQ Group Global Tour Targets High-Growth Markets

The CyberQ Group global tour begins in India from 22–28 February. During this phase, CEO Chris Woods will join West Midlands Mayor Richard Parker on a strategic trade mission. The visit aims to strengthen economic ties following the 2025 UK–India Free Trade Agreement.

In particular, the company will meet organisations involved in smart city programmes and critical infrastructure projects. As India accelerates digital transformation, cyber resilience becomes increasingly critical. Therefore, CyberQ will focus on reducing risk exposure across essential services.

Next, the company will travel to Manila from 1–8 March. Here, Chris Woods will host a town hall at the firm’s Philippines hub. Meanwhile, leadership teams will continue integrating regional operations into a global 24/7 monitoring model. As a result, clients benefit from continuous threat detection and response.

The final stage takes place in South Africa from 16–21 March. CyberQ Group secured selection for the UK–Africa Tech Immersion programme, supported by the UK Department for Business and Trade. During this phase, the firm will expand its presence in safety-critical sectors such as financial services and energy. At the same time, it will strengthen capabilities within its South African Security Operations Centre.

Regional Roots, Global Cyber Ambition

Chris Woods said cybersecurity now sits at a turning point. Because regulatory scrutiny continues to increase, organisations must improve cyber maturity across all regions.

Although CyberQ Group operates internationally, it continues to emphasise its West Midlands base. In fact, the company builds its cyber capability in Birmingham before exporting expertise overseas. This approach reflects the wider strength of regional business ecosystems, as highlighted in our analysis of West Midlands Corporate Clusters Driving UK Industrial Strategy Growth. Consequently, firms like CyberQ benefit from operating within a high-growth, strategically aligned regional economy.

Overall, the CyberQ Group global tour demonstrates how regional firms can compete internationally while maintaining strong local roots.
